PERRIN Performance has been building exhausts for quite some time and had great success with them in both performance and sound. This classic 3" system is similarly styled to the OEM system but with much bigger tip and fully polished 3" stainless steel tubing and muffler. Perrin's 4" polished slash cut tip fits the look of the back of your WRX very well with out looking like your car came from Mars.
This system was designed to give you the most power while still keeping the sound level reasonable. Like all other PERRIN Performance Cat-Back Exhaust Systems, they built this from 100% Stainless steel and with free flowing mufflers for maximum exhaust flow. All systems mate perfectly with factory hangers, undercarriage and bumper and fit to OEM and aftermarket downpipes.
Features
V-Bands This item puts the PERRIN exhausts in a completely different league compared to other Subaru Exhausts. The High tech v-band is a perfect exhaust connection. They are designed to hold hundreds of pounds of pressure and do so with no gasket! This connection allows for a precise repeatable joint with the ability to rotate each joining connection. This allows for easy installation, and adjustments in the system.
3" 304SS tubing 304 stainless steel is known to be the standard in all high quality CBE systems. It provides high corrosion resistance, and excellent for extreme heat up to 1600 degrees F. This is also what all of Perrin's Mufflers are made of inside and out. Where many other manufactures use 409SS which will rust over time. The added expense of the 304SS is well worth the long lasting high polish and long term durability.
Straight through 3" Mufflers Another small but important feature of the muffler is they are true 3". Meaning they are 3" on the inside of the muffler, not necked down to something smaller to help keep the costs down as well as the sound down. These methods of building mufflers is not good for making power. Although common in the aftermarket industry, this is not a method Perrin uses!
